Joint Oireachtas Committee on Key Issues affecting the Traveller Community (JCKITC)

Maria Joyce (TPI Chairperson) and Anne Costello (TPI Coordinator) appeared before the JCKITC on Thursday 21st October 2021 to discuss Travellers’ experiences in prison in Ireland and related matters.
TPI was joined by Fíona Ni Chinnéide (IPRT) and Barry Owens (IASIO) during the first half of the session. Fergal Black and Seamus Beirne (IPS), Mark Wilson and Una Doyle (Probation Service) and Stephen O Connor and June Edwards (CDETB) were heard in the second half of the session.
