If the funded work runs into obstacles or gets badly delayed, it is better to have an early conversation with us. Depending on the purpose of the grant, we may be able to suggest a way forward or agree how to resolve the issue.
On most occasions we do not require interim reports, even if the work is delayed for a substantial period of time.
On very rare occasions if the funded work cannot proceed as planned and an alternative approach is not possible the grant may have to be repaid.
The best approach is to send an email outlining the difficulties or delay and suggesting an alternative timeframe or different approach to the work. We will endeavour to get an early decision on how to proceed.
